Sustainability Manager

Job Requirements

General description:

Being part of Trans-Oil Group of Companies’ team, the Sustainability Manager will provide hands-on, administrative and technical support in achieving Company’s goals related to environmental, occupational health & safety and social development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

>> Provide support in development and implementation of Company’s Environmental and Social (ES) policies, strategies and programs for the supply chain;

>> Provide support in implementation of stakeholders’ Environmental and Social Action Plans and other Company’s ES commitments;

>> Train and promote ES policies, programs and good practices among Company’s subsidiaries and supply chain;

>> Provide other technical and advisory support to Company subsidiaries’ staff and specialists related to environment, occupational health & safety and social aspects;

>> Perform internal audits / inspections of Company’s subsidiaries and supply chain to check ES performance;

>> Oversee and analyze the overall ES performance of Company’s subsidiaries and supply chain;

>> Prepare ES relevant documents for annual monitoring reporting.

Candidate Profile:

>> Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in agribusiness, environmental sciences, economics or any other relevant technical field;

>> Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant professional experience in agribusiness sector and experience in consulting or working with farmers;

>> Good knowledge of Global GAP and/or ISO international standards’ requirements;

>> Knowledge of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) best practices and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, including materiality analysis, would be an advantage;

>> Strong analytical, drafting and reporting skills;

>> Ability to manage own budgets;

>> Good applications/fundraise writing skills for community/climate change adaptation projects;

>> Effective interpersonal and negotiations skills, ability to persuade others;

>> Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

>> Fluent in Romanian, Russian and English languages;

>> Substantial personal responsibility, ability to work with little supervision;

>> Proficient PC user – MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
