According to the Agriculture Ministry, crops have been sown on 1,143,500 ha (96% of the area under crops planned). Wheat has been sowed on 268,900 ha (82% of the 325,000 planned) and the harvest is expected to be 1,061,100 tonnes.  Barley has been sown at 60,100 ha (70%) and the yield is expected at 162,900 tonnes. 29,400 ha have been sown with rape (11% more than planned). The yield is expected at 77,900 tonnes. Maize has been sown on 376,300 ha (84% of the area planned) and is expected to bring the harvest of 1,430,100 tonnes. Pea has been planted on 15,500 ha, 56% up from the area planned. The harvest is expected at 38,800 tonnes. Sunflower has been sown at 317,400 ha (51% up from the plan) and is expected to bring the harvest of 634m800 tonnes. Soya has bee planted on 41,400 ha (75% of the plan) and its harvest is expected at 91,199 tonnes. Sugar beets have been planted on 22,000 ha (88% of the area planned) and the yield will make 991.9 tonnes. 180 ha have been sown with tobacco (36%) and the harvest is expected at 324 tonnes.
