Operational Incident at Trans-Oil Group’s Danube Grain Terminal in Giurgiulesti

The Trans-Oil Group announces that on Sunday, 20 April 2025, at approximately 19:00 local time, an incident occurred at the Danube Grain Terminal located at the Group’s Port Terminal Danube in Giurgiulesti, Cahul, Republic of Moldova.
During maneuvering operations, the vessel M/V MUSE, chartered by a third-party shipper – made contact with and caused damage to the terminal’s loading bridge infrastructure. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were recorded among the vessel’s crew or the port personnel.
As a result of the incident, the Danube Grain Terminal has been temporarily taken out of operation. The extent of the damages currently prevents the terminal from functioning under normal conditions.
The management of the Trans-Oil Group is actively working in coordination with the port authorities and relevant specialists to assess the situation, eliminate the consequences of the incident, and restore full terminal operations as swiftly and safely as possible.
