Trans-Oil Group, a leading agribusiness and oil processing group in Southeast Europe, is proud to announce the signing ceremony for the construction of a state-of-the-art corn starch processing facility in Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia. The project, developed in partnership with Myande Group, China’s leading manufacturer of starch processing equipment, will be the most advanced facility of its kind in the Balkan region.

A Cutting-Edge Facility for High-Demand Products

The new plant will process 250,000 metric tons of corn annually, producing native starch, modified starch, and corn syrup to meet growing demand in Central and Southern Europe. With an investment of €35 million, the facility is expected to deliver a 25% return on investment (ROI), further strengthening Trans-Oil Group’s position as a key player in the agri-processing sector.

Construction is set to begin on 15 May 2025, with completion expected within 18-20 months. Once operational, the facility will create 150 new jobs, contributing to the local economy and reinforcing Serbia’s role as a hub for advanced agricultural processing.

Strategic Expansion into High-Growth Markets

Corn starch is a high-demand product with expanding applications in food, pharmaceuticals, and industrial sectors. By investing in this facility, Trans-Oil Group is strategically expanding its processing capabilities to capture this growing market.
