Import of cereals from Ukraine

The European Commission has adopted unprecedented temporary measures on the imports of certain agricultural products originating in Ukraine (wheat, maize, rapeseed and sunflower seeds).

These measures are aimed at alleviating the serious logistical bottlenecks faced by five Member States: Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia.

The adopted measures will be valid until 5 June 2023. It should be noted that during this period, wheat, maize, rapeseed and sunflower seeds originating in Ukraine may benefit from a common customs transit procedure within the territory of the states concerned in order to reach the markets of other states.
