Rise in Oilseeds Processed within the European Union

The European Vegetable Oil and Proteinmeal Industry (FEDIOL) reported an increase in the volume of oilseeds processed by the oil plants of the European Union.

A quantity of 1.7 million tons of rapeseeds was processed in December 2022 - the largest amount of oilseeds processed since August 2022. Additionally, 1.1 million tons of soybeans were processed - almost 30% higher than the FEDIOL indicators for November 2022.

European oil plants processed 511 thousand tons of sunflower seeds, which is 6% higher than the FEDIOL figures for the previous month.
