The plant S.A. "Floarea Soarelui" joined the "National Afforestation Program"

At the end of November, the employees of S.A. "Floarea Soarelui" plant from Balti have mobilized in a good mood and joined the tree planting campaign within the " National Afforestation Program ", carried out this autumn.

The event took place on the territory of Lipovanca village, Sangerei district, in collaboration with Î.S. "Întreprinderea Silvo-Cinegetica" from Sangerei that provided the land and the trees.

Divided into teams of 2 people, the employees of the plant succeeded in 5 hours to plant approximately 3500 acacia trees on an area of 2.1 ha, thus covering the North-West part of the bed of a desiccated lake as a consequence of previous illegal deforestations.

In this way, the company brought an essential contribution to the local community and supports to the achievement of the afforestation objective of the Republic of Moldova by 2030, as well as to the achievement of the UN's Sustainability Development Goals.
